Curbside Service Begins Monday June 29th!

Curbside pickup will be available at all St. Clair County Library System branches starting Monday, June 29th with pick-up scheduled Monday - Friday, 12:00pm-6:00 pm. We can't wait to see you again!

Curbside pickups will be scheduled in 15 minute time slots. We must adhere to a scheduled pickup time so please call your local branch library in and observe your pickup time (no drop-ins). We understand that emergencies happen. If you miss your window, please call to reschedule a pickup time.

To place requests you can call your local branch library Monday-Friday, 11:00 am-7:00 pm. Please do not leave messages for hold requests, but wait to speak to a staff member during the above hours. You can also reserve items online through your library account. Visit and click on the tab “Find a Book” then select “Search our Catalog” in the drop-down menu.

Items to pick up will already be checked out on your card and bagged with a label that has your last name.

If you have returns, please drop them in the library drop boxes. Library staff are not allowed to physically accept your returns.

Whether you place an order over the phone or online, you will receive a call confirming that your materials are ready. Important: the process is not done! You will need to reach out to the library to schedule a pickup time. Please make sure that the telephone number associated with your library account is up to date.

MelCat (Interlibrary Loan) service has not resumed amongst all libraries in the state yet so items available for checkout are any items currently on the holds shelf for you and any items available in our St. Clair County Library System collection.

All St. Clair County Library System branches remain closed to visitors, including lobbies, water fountains, and restrooms during this period of curbside service.

Patrons will be charged for any damaged or lost returns left outside the book drop, curbside pickup area, or any location other than in the drop boxes. Staff will be emptying the drop boxes often throughout the day and placing the materials into quarantine.

Donations of books to the Library are currently not being accepted. We will be working with our branches’ Friends groups to schedule the best time, place and manner of resuming the acceptance of book donations.
